eceee welcomes both individuals and organisations as members. As an eceee member you help to support eceee's work for a more energy-efficient Europe, and world. Members also have direct benefits, including:

  • Access to parts of the website reserved for members, such as the on-line library of eceee proceedings
  • Access to the scientific journal Energy Efficiency (Springer Press)
  • Discounted summer study registration fees
  • Discounted prices of proceedings and other publications
  • Access to eceee's on-line database of members
  • Organisational members are also listed on our public web site and can present themselves on the organisational members' forum

MEMBERSHIP FEES FOR 2011 (All prices exclusive of VAT)

Personal member

One year fee (2011): €50,00
Two-year fee (2011-2012): €80,00

Students (personal membership)

One year fee (2011): € 30,00
Two-year fee (2011-2012): €45,00

Member organisation:


All organisational memberships include membership and web access for 5 individuals affiliated with your organisation. For additional individuals, please see below.

Large Enterprise: €5000.

Trade/Industry Association: €1500.

Standard: € 975,00. For companies/agencies with more than 15 employees if not covered by any of the categories below or above. Trade associations and similar with fewer than 15 employees are also included in this category.

Medium: € 625,00. Companies or agencies with 6-15 employees.

Research Institute: € 625,00. Research organisations with more than 5 employees.

Consulting company: €625,00. Consulting company with more than 5 employees.

Small: €225,00. All companies or agencies with 1-5 employees.

Environmental NGOs: €225,00.

Educational organisations: €225.00. For schools and universities primarily involved in education.

Reduced fee: 225,00: All organisations in countries with GDP per capita in so-called Purchasing Power Standards, PPS for 2009 below 75 according to Eurostat (for more info on PPS, follow this link). In effect this means that organisations in all “new” EU Member States except Czech Republic, Cyprus, Malta and Slovenia qualify for the reduced fee.

Additional individual €40,00. For each additional individual affiliated with your organisation


VAT or not?

Membership fees include a service fee component, which is liable to 25% Swedish VAT. The following rules apply:

  • If you are based outside EU: VAT will not be charged.
  • If you are based inside the EU (except Sweden): VAT will be not be charged if your organisation has a VAT registration number.
  • If you are based inside Sweden, VAT will always be charged.

By submitting a membership application, you accept the following terms for eceee membership:

  • As a member, you may only use the database for establishing contact with other members.
  • Members are not allowed to use names and addresses for any commercial purposes or any other mass mailings. Abuse of the database will lead to termination of membership.
  • The eceee and its founding organisations, in return, will not use the your membership details for any commercial purpose
