The Energy Saving Trusthttp://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/ We are a non-profit organisation that provides free impartial advice tailored to suit you. Our advice can help you save money and fight climate change by reducing carbon dioxide emissions from your home. In 1992, the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro highlighted, for the first time, the real threat of climate change on a global scale. The following year, the UK Government established The Energy Saving Trust and set a target for reducing UK emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) - the greenhouse gas responsible for climate change - by 20 per cent of 1990 levels by 2010. The Energy Saving Trust encourages energy efficiency and the integration of renewable energy sources into the economic fabric of our society. To achieve this we promote the use of cleaner fuels for transport and better insulation and heating efficiency for buildings and homes and champion small-scale renewable energy, such as solar and wind power.
