University College Cork, Dept. of Civil Engineeringhttp://www.ucc.ie/en/civileng/ University College Cork was originally established in 1845 as one of three Queen's Colleges in Cork, Galway and Belfast. The Department of Civil Engineering in University College Cork has a long and distinguished tradition dating back to the same year. Our degrees are recognised internationally under the Washington Accord and formally accredited by Engineers Ireland, previously the Institution of Engineers of Ireland. Many of our graduates are currently in top positions within the profession and in industry, both at home and oversees. In recent years, we changed the name of the Department to Civil and Environmental Engineering and modernised our curriculum. Our new curriculum attracts women and men interested in the environment, the application of computer science or management.
