Benoit Lebot

IPEEC Executive Director Mr. Benoit Lebot has had an extensive career in the fields of Energy Efficiency, Climate Change Mitigation, and Clean Energy Policies. Before joining IPEEC , he worked for 10 years as Climate Change & Sustainable Energy Policy Advisor for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Europe, Africa and Latin America. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Lebot worked at the International Energy Agency (IEA) as an advisor within the Energy Efficiency Policy Analysis Division. He started his professional career first at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California, then at ADEME, the National Energy & Environment Agency of France.

Mr. Lebot is a Civil Engineer from France’s National School of Public Works (1986) and holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California in Berkeley (1987).
