"THINK EUROPEAN – ACT REGIONAL” - the European Energy Service Day is designed as major network event of EESI on European level to bring together European decision makers, ESCOs, associations as well as regional stakeholders with a strong focus on energy agencies. The EU Energy Services Directive and the National Energy Efficiency Action plans already include regulations to strengthen the use of energy services, nevertheless project development and implementation is carried out by regional actors, institutions and initiatives. The “European Energy Service Day” will help to foster energy services in Europe.

The importance of the Day is demonstrated by the fact that Members of the European Parliament and the European Commission have already accepted our invitation. It is a great honour for us to announce Connie Hedegaard, EU Commissioner for Climate Action as well as Janez Potočnik, EU Commissioner for the Environment as key speakers on this day.
