Alan Meier is a senior scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research topics include energy use of consumer electronics, energy test procedures, and international policies to promote energy efficiency.

Alan is also co-Director of the Energy Efficiency Center at the University of California, Davis, where he teaches courses on energy efficiency. He is editor of the journal Energy and Buildings, and the magazine Home Energy.
