Abstract
This paper provides background on HVAC installations and opportunities for
stakeholders in the residential HVAC sector to transform market conditions. The authors identify
four market conditions that should exist if quality installations (QI) are to become more
prevalent. To achieve these market conditions, the authors make recommendations about specific
market transformation approaches that need to be implemented by key stakeholders to move the
market, en masse, to a quality installation focus.
