ENTR Lot 9: Enterprise servers

Ecodesign requirements

Ecodesign requirements for enterprise services was accepted September 17, 2018, and will take force March 1, 2020. The requirements include:

  • Power supply requirements (tightened January 1, 2023)
  • Resource efficiency requirements (tightened March 1, 2021)
  • Requierements for servers in active work and idle mood
  • Information requirements

Products covered by the eco design requirements include servers and web-based data storage products. Exceptions apply to servers designed for embedded applications, servers classified as single servers according to Regulation (EU) No 617/2013, servers with more than four processor sockets, server equipment, large servers, fully fault tolerant servers, network servers, small data storage products, large data storage products.
