The board of eceee
eceee's General Assembly elected a new board on 23 November 2007. The new board will serve for the term 2007–2009. See list of current board members below.
Governance
eceee is governed by a board elected at the General Assembly by the organisation’s members. The by-laws provide for a balance between members, who can be either individuals (personal members) or member organisations, that appoint a person to represent them in the board. At least 2/3 of the board’s members must be organisations.
The practical consequence of this rule is that individuals are elected on the member organisation’s behalf and that the organisation commits itself to provide enough resources to make it possible for one of their staff to serve on the board. However, for practical and legal issues, each board member assumes responsibility as an individual for board decisions. Thus, statements made by eceee’s board do not necessarily reflect the views of each personal or organisational member.
The General Assembly is held annually, but the board is elected in November every second (odd) year and serves for a two-year term. The current board will serve for two years until November 2009. The board appoints its chair and vice chairs among its members. The chairs and vice chairs act as the organisation's President and vice Presidents.
The Prsident of eceee is Peter Bach from the Danish Energy Agency. Rob Kool from SenterNovem (NL) and Eoin Lees from Eoin Lees Energy (UK) are vice Presidents.
