eceee supports industry initative on energy efficiency(12 Dec 06) A group of leading energy efficiency industries – COGEN Europe, CECED, EuroACE, and Eurima – are urging the European Parliament to get serious about energy savings. This industry initiative is supported by eceee. "Such proposals put forward by the four trade bodies are entirely consistent with the recent EU Energy Efficiency Action Plan and deserve greater recognition on European and National level” said eceee chairman Peter Bach. He underpinned the need for a rapid and comprehensive implementation of existing European energy efficiency Directives, including dynamic minimum energy performance standards for energy-using products and buildings, as well as a revitalisation and expansion of the energy labelling scheme.
