New Summer Study on efficiency in industry!

eceee is currently busy organising a Summer Study dedicated to energy efficiency in industry.

After 20 years of successful traditional Summer Studies, eceee now introduces a new series of events, focusing on energy efficiency in industry and industrial processes. The first industrial eceee Summer Study will be held in September 2012.

The eceee industrial Summer Study covers all types of industry, from production and food processing to heavy process industry. The eceee industrial Summer Study will be held over three and a half days and is expected to attract industry, energy service companies, policymakers, academia, NGOs and other professionals in energy efficiency. They will meet in the stimulating informal setting that is the trademark of eceee’s Summer Studies.

The eceee 2011 Summer Study

The eceee 2011 Summer Study "Energy efficiency first: The foundation of a low-carbon society" was a great success! Participants, panel leaders, speakers and conference management were in general very happy with the conference and it got very good reviews in the evaluation.

What is a Summer Study?

Since 1993, eceee's Summer Studies have advanced the frontiers in energy efficiency policy, research and implementation.

It provides a full working week of formal but yet straightforward sessions and informal meetings, wonderful climate and pleasant surroundings. Here, participants exchanged ideas in a relaxed but intensely intellectual atmosphere, had lively discussions and came up with creative ideas.

The heart of the Summer Study is the presentation and discussion of refereed papers in parallel panel sessions. Posters are presented in a session attended by all participants. Keynote speakers address plenary sessions and participants can organise informal sessions in the afternoons.
