ADEME Agence de L'Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l'Energie, the French Environment and Energy Management Agency. ADEME’s mission is to encourage, supervise, coordinate, facilitate, and undertake operations with the aim of protecting the environment and managing energy. It’s priority areas are energy, air, noise, transport, waste, polluted soil and sites, and environmental management.

Danish Energy Agency carries out tasks, nationally and internationally, in relation to the production, supply and consumption of energy. This means that the DEA is responsible for the whole chain of tasks linked to the production of energy and its transportation through pipelines to the stage where oil, natural gas, heat, electricity etc. are utilised for energy services by the consumer.

The Danish Energy Association (Dansk Energi) is a commercial and professional organisation for Danish energy companies. It is managed and financed by its member companies, mainly the electricity companies, and works to secure for them the freest and most favourable conditions for competition and development in order to ensure development, growth and well-being in Denmark.

CONTRIBUTORS:

EDF

The EDF Group is an integrated energy supplier, and operates in all sectors of the electricity industry : generation, transmission, distribution, sales and trading. It is one of the leading electricity suppliers in Europe. EDF supplies energy and services to more than 40 million customers worldwide, in the residential, business and public sectors.EDF aims at providing customers with global energy solutions, including low carbon energy supply and end-use energy efficiency offers.

eurima

Eurima is the European Insulation Manufacturers Association and represents the interests of all major mineral wool producers throughout Europe. Eurima members manufacture a wide range of mineral wool products for the thermal and acoustic insulation and fire protection of domestic and commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

EuroACE, the European Alliance of Companies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings, was formed in 1998 by twenty of Europe's leading companies involved with the manufacture, distribution and installation of a variety of energy saving goods and services. The EuroACE member companies together employ 172,000 people and have a turnover of 140 billion euro. EuroACE works together with the European Institutions to help Europe move towards a more sustainable pattern of energy use in buildings, thereby contributing to the EU's commitments on carbon emissons reductions, job creation and energy security.

GfE_big.jpg

Glass for Europe is the trade association for Europe’s manufacturers of flat glass. Flat glass goes into a variety of end-products such as windows and façades for houses and buildings, windows and windscreens for automobiles and other forms of transport and glass covers and connectors in solar-energy equipments. It is also used in smaller quantities for other applications such as furniture, appliances, electronics, etc.

Better use of building glass alone could help reduce Europe’s CO2 emissions by 100 million tonnes annually hence Glass for Europe’s plea for an ambitious and robust European energy-efficiency policy.

renovate.jpg

The Renovate Europe campaign was initiated by EuroACE (the European Alliance of Companies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings), with a focus on EU, national, regional and local policy levels. It is an ambitious roadmap on how to raise the yearly renovation rate to 3% in Europe by 2020 and achieve an average improvement in energy performance of ~ 80%. Renovate Europe is solution neutral, each building has its own specificity, therefore policymakers should emphasize performance over specific technology.

Rockwool

The Rockwool Group is the world's leading producer of stone wool – a material that improves the quality of life for millions of people and helps to alleviate environmental problems, such as the greenhouse effect, smog and acid rain. Rockwool insulation gives us pleasant indoor environments by keeping out the freezing cold. In hot climates, stone wool helps to keep indoor temperatures comfortably cool.
