eceee´s new board members

(31 August 2023) 

Following the General Assembly on 31 August, the board decided to appoint Andrea Roscetti, Kyoto Club, eceee President. Clemens Rohde (Fraunhofer ISI) and Sibylle Braungardt (Öko-Institut) were appointed vice Presidents. At the General Assembly, the following board members were elected:

  • Jens Henning Laustsen of the Danish Energy Agency was elected full organisational member (he was previously alternate for individuals).
  • Rod Janssen was re-elected individual member for his second 3-year term.
  • Kurt Bisang representing the Swiss Federal Office of Energy was elected organisational member.
  • Faye Wade from the University of Edinburgh was elected alternate for individual board members.

Paula Fonseca from the University of Coimbra - ISR was eligible for re-election but decided to step down. Cédric Jeanneret, Services Industriels de Genève, has served for two terms and must now leave the board according to the bylaws. The eceee board thank them for their dedicated services to eceee.

The rest of the board members remain as before.

How board members are elected and how long they may serve

eceee is governed by a Board of Directors elected at the General Assembly by the organisation’s members. Each year a third of the Board is up for election and Board members are elected for a three-year term. A board member may serve for two consecutive terms, whereas a sitting President may serve for a third term.

According to the bylaws 1/2 of the Board must consist of organisational members. The Board can have a maximum of 12 members. organisational members may have an alternate and there is one alternate for all individual Board members who is elected on a one-year term.
