Katharina Wohlfarth

Dr. Katharina Wohlfarth studied psychology, business economics and physics at the University of Freiburg. She focused her diploma thesis on energy efficiency through smart metering at the Energy and Communication Technologies Research Group, where upon completion she worked as market researcher on new energy products and services, efficiency studies and intelligent energy measurement. Later her reponsibilities included leading the division of market and impact research, with a focus on evaluation of field studies, acceptance and effects of technologies.

Since 2013 she works at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI/ Karlsruhe in the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Markets. In her interdisciplinary dissertation at the University of Utrecht she dealt with practical, behavioral and technical issues regarding energy efficiency and load management in companies.
