Malaysia’s banks are bucking global finance decarbonisation trend by funding coal, study finds

(Eco Business, 17 Feb 2020) Maybank, CIMB and RHB Bank have provided almost US$5 billion in loans and bonds for new coal projects over the last decade. And unlike international and Singaporean banks, Malaysia’s banks show no signs of going cold on the climate-changing fossil fuel, the study claims.
