The Coalition for Energy Savings appoints new Secretary General

(eceee news, 22 Jan 2021) Arianna Vitali Roscini has been appointed as the new Secretary General of the Coalition for Energy Savings – where eceee is a member – and Andrea Voigt as the new Chairwoman of its Steering Committee in the year of the “Fit for 55 package”.

Arianna has previously worked in this field both for BPIE and WWF. She takes over from Stefan Scheuer, who successfully held this position for the past decade.

The Steering Committee has also appointed Andrea Voigt, Director General of the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE), as its new Chairwoman.

Andrea replaces Adrian Joyce, Secretary General of EuroACE, who led the Coalition Steering Committee with competence and dedication for the past three years.

According to the Coalition for Energy Savings, the release of the “Fit for 55 package” by the European Commission in 2021 is expected to be a landmark for energy and climate policies in the EU. The Coalition’s key priority will be to engage in the upcoming revision of the Energy Efficiency Directive, expected in June 2021.

The new leadership will be supported by Business Solutions Europa (BSE), a Brussels-based public affairs consultancy specialised in energy efficiency, with Antonin Chapelot and Milena Vergara Santiago responsible for policy and communication, respectively.
