Voluntary Agreements
Voluntary agreements or self-regulation measures may be an alternative for implementing measures under the Ecodesign Directive. Voluntary agreements were discussed in Consultation Forum 12 June 2014.
Draft guidelines
Updated draft guidelines were issued in May 2014 (see table below). The aim of the guidelines is:
- to explain the legal framework of ecodesign self-regulation measuers
- to facilitate establishment and implementation of the measures
- to ensure consistency in the structure of the measures
- to ensure uniform interpretation the measures' principles and rules
Voluntary Agreements have been discussed or endorsed for the following products groups:
- Complex set top boxes (lot 18)
- Imaging equipment (lot 4)
- Machine tools (ENTR lot 5)
- Medical Imaging Equipment (no preparatory study or lot number)
- Game consoles (ENTR Lot 3)
