he Brussels Sustainable Development Summit 2015 combines high level political viewpoints with innovative technologies that will lead to sustainable solutions to combat global warming.

BSDS 2015 connects to real climate change, enhances shared knowledge and boosts interaction.

VITO, Belgium and TERI, India are pleased to invite you to the 2nd edition of BSDS. The 2015 edition, held in Brussels from 19-20 October, is a high-level, international platform focused on sustainable development, sustainable energy and climate change in particular.

It kicks off with a ministerial opening, followed by a two day seminar on 3 central themes:

  • Visioning process for a sustainable future in Europe, based on existing, citizen accessible, economic models
  • Innovative value chains for sustainable process industry
  • Deep geothermal energy, a sustainable, affordable and inexhaustible energy source - a valuable solution against global warming.


BSDS 2015 will enhance public awareness of what is at stake at the upcoming COP 21 (the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC) in Paris. It will provide concrete recommendations on how industrial and citizen driven strategies can contribute to sustainable economic growth, while addressing climate change and contributing to new sustainable development goals.
