Energy efficiency is key to industrial productivity, energy security, job creation and lower carbon intensity. In addition, we are now increasingly focusing on the needs for total resource efficiency in a circular economy. Industrial Efficiency 2016 in Berlin brings energy efficiency into the context of all these challenges.

Submit an abstract
All presentations by participants are based on an abstract submission for any of the following five panels (for a complete description of the panels and presentation of the panel leaders, see the panel pages):
• Policies and programmes
• Sustainable production design and supply chain initiatives
• Energy management: the nuts and bolts
• Technology, products and systems
• Business models and financing: established practice and innovative approaches
Choose between an extended abstract or a peer-reviewed paper
Industrial Efficiency 2016 offers the choice between:
• Writing a proper peer-reviewed paper, or
• Just submit an abstract (which may be updated and slightly extended if accepted) and make your presentation if selected.
Special issue of the Journal Energy Efficiency
The best and most appropriate peer-reviewed papers will be considered for publication in a special issue in the Journal Energy Efficiency after the conference. Andrea Trianni, Politecnico di Milano, and Patrik Thollander, Linköping University, have kindly agreed to be guest editors for this special issue.
