A three day, informal residential event set on the shore's of Sydney's spectacular Manly Beach.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Kateri Callahan - President , The Alliance to Save Energy (USA)
  • Steve Nadel - Executive Director, American Council for Energy Efficient Economy (USA)
  • David Sweet – Executive Director, World Alliance for Decentralised Energy (CANADA)
  • Phillip Sellwood - Chief Executive, Energy Savings Trust (UK)
  • Senior manager from International Energy Agency – name to be confirmed

About the Summer Study

The Summer Study is an international 'institution', running for 30 years in the US and 16 years in Europe. These are organised by Australian Alliance to Save Energy (A2SE) endorsing partners – The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) and its European counterpart the ECEEE . These are sell out events renowned for bringing together leaders in energy efficiency from government, politics, academia, private sector and NGOs.

What makes the Summer Study unique?

The program balances formal presentations by international experts with informal working sessions while allowing ample time for networking and collaboration. Submission and evaluation

The selection committee of panel leaders will judge abstracts based on the followng criteria:

  • Clarity of thought and presentation
  • Relevance to the focus of the Summer Study
  • Presentation of new material
  • Lilkelihood of stimulating discussion and debate

Abstracts should be submitted as a Word document and include:

  • Name
  • Organisation
  • Qualifications
  • Session and stream (see program below)
  • The title
  • Key ideas

Abstract submissions should not exceed 350 words. If selected, authors will need to prepare a 20 minute Powerpoint presentation.
