The 3rd International Conference on Modern Power Systems will be held on Cluj-Napoca, Romania, from 18 to 21 May 2010. The main purpose of the Conference is to throw a bridge between recent advances of research on modern power systems. Therefore, beside classical sessions on the progress of the theoretical research, an important accent will be paid on the advanced industrial applications and solutions.

The municipality of Cluj-Napoca – an ancient centre of Romanian culture and civilisation – is one of the largest cities of Romania and it is called metaphorically “The Heart of Transylvania” due to its bi-millennial history and its cultural significance. Situated at the crossing of the Apuseni Mountains with the Transylvanian Plateau and Plain, along one of the main communication roads which once linked Western Europe to the East and South of the continent, the settlement has attracted people who have created genuine ever-lasting values, thus defining its identity. These landmarks can be noticed everywhere in its art and architectural edifices and monuments, in museums, institutions of public, educational, cultural concern, in its entire urban dimension.
