A steadily rising population in need for a healthy and balanced diet, the enormous environmental impact of food production and the growing pressure of weather extremes, require a resilient and sustainable agriculture. To master these challenges, Fraunhofer Institutes are developing and optimizing biotechnological processes for protein production and strategies for the digital transformation of farming systems.

We are looking forward to three expert presentations by Fraunhofer researchers on their contribution to the EU’s FOOD 2030 Pathways for Action and highlights from their projects “FutureProteins” and “COGNAC”. We are delighted to welcome Norbert Lins as our patron of this webinar. Norbert Lins is Member of the European Parliament and chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. He will elaborate on the political perspective and the relevance of research and innovation for the Farm to Fork strategy.
