The 2014 International Mediterranean Energy Conference, will take place on 8 December 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Organized by the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) and the Chamber of Commerce of Istanbul, and held under the auspices of H.E. Mr. Taner YILDIZ, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, the conference represents a key opportunity to discuss the latest developments, opportunities and challenges related to the energy sector in the region.

In the framework of the conference, B2B meetings among Mediterranean companies attending the event will be held on 9 December, in order to drive forward business opportunities in the area of energy.

The conference takes place at a critical time for multilateral cooperation in the region, with the President of the ASCAME Commission of Conventional Energies noting that: “The event will be held in a context where energy is a key and challenging factor of development in our region and the energy interdependence and complementarity which links the countries from both shores of the region encourages us to reflect on more in-depth energy cooperation”.

The conference is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Energy Efficiency Association and SPTEC Advisory.
