Joint EURELECTRIC - International Energy Agency Demand Side Management Programme Workshop In the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2010

Intelligent Electricity Systems: Shaping Customer Behaviour  24 March 2010, 9.00 to 13.00

To decarbonise the European society, a paradigm-shift is needed on the demand side: intelligent electricity systems should replace direct use of fossil fuels. This is one of the main conclusions of the recently published EURELECTRIC study "Power Choices: Pathways to Carbon-Neutral Electricity in Europe by 2050".

In this context, EURELECTRIC and the Demand-Side Management Programme of the International Energy Agency have the pleasure to invite you to the joint event "Intelligent Electricity Systems: Shaping Customer Behaviour", organised within the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week.

Our speakers will aim at delivering to our stakeholders useful information and effective guidance for crafting and implementing DSM policies and measures, along with the necessary technologies and applications, which together can transform markets and facilitate energy system operations. This event will provide a platform to share best practices and discuss overcoming existing barriers.

This workshop will be of high value to experts from electricity companies, manufacturers and other entities involved in the business of electricity distribution, plus officials from the EU bodies, government and regulatory bodies, consultants, consumer organisations and NGOs.
