The European Commission and the Council are currently assessing the results of the Paris Climate Conference in order to prepare the EU’s next steps under the 2030 climate and energy framework. By March 2016 a proposal of new legislation and plans for implementation of it on renewable energy are expected.

This EIPA seminar will facilitate a comprehensive understanding of how best to use EU funding for renewable energy projects and will keep you up to date with the latest developments in renewable energy legislation and its recommended implementation.

Under the current 2014-2020 multiannual framework, a wide range of funding possibilities exists to assist compliance with the latest renewable energy directive. However, at the moment, the capacity for compliance and absorption of EU funds are sub-optimal in many EU member states.

Our seminar aims to address the deficiencies in implementing renewable energy projects and using EU funds. It will give not only a detailed insight into the EU’s evolving renewable energy policy, but also, and even more importantly, it will give participants the tools to implement it, based on real case examples. Experienced professionals will teach you how to design proposals for EU funded projects; to successfully handle the intermediate and final phases of a project; to learn about financial reporting; and, vitally, to avoid common errors and mistakes.

The seminar is not only of great use to public officials from national, regional or local level, but also to officials from related agencies, the private sector and NGO’s.
