EBC and UIPI joined forces to organise a series of roundtables on the theme of “Financing energy efficiency in private housing”. The 1st seminar  will be organised on 17th March 2016 at the European Economic and Social Committee from 2.30 to 5.30pm with concluding remarks by Commission Vice-President JYRKI KATAINEN.

EBC is the European umbrella organisation defending and promoting the interests of micro, small and medium enterprises of the construction sector in Brussels.

UIPI – International Union of Property Owners is a pan-European not-for-profit association comprising of 30 organisations protecting and promoting the interests, needs and concerns of private landlords and owner-occupiers at national, European and international levels.

Construction SMEs and private property owners are fundamental elements of the vastly untapped potential to boost investment at the micro-economic level and at the same time to fulfil the EU requirements in terms of energy efficiency.

The seminar on 17th March will focus on the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI). The purpose of the event will be to grasp if and how the plan could be used to boost private investment in “small scale energy efficiency renovation”.

More information and the agenda will follow soon.
