The Young Energy Researchers Conference presents the work and achievements of young researchers and is held in the context of the World Sustainable Energy Days 2020 (WSED). With more than 650 participants from over 50 countries each year, the WSED are one of Europe's largest annual conferences on sustainable energy.

Young researchers and professionals (born after 1984) are invited to submit contribution in the fields of energy efficiency and biomass. Submissions (in English only) are welcome from all scientific fields (e.g. technology & engineering, economic and social sciences, architecture, law, arts, etc.).

A high-level scientific committee selects papers for oral and poster presentation. The costs of accommodation, meals, participation and local transport (3 conference days) for up to 60 selected participants are covered by the organiser.

The 2 best contributions are honoured with the awards "Best Young Energy Efficiency Researcher" and "Best Young Biomass Researcher". The researchers receive 1,000 Euro each as prize money.

The event offers the opportunity to interact with researchers and industry experts from all over the world and to build-up a peer network!
