eceee’s ambassador  in Austria is Marianne Osterkorn.

Since 2011 Dr. Moscoso-Osterkorn is a Board member of the European Council for Energy Efficiency and is active as a senior consultant to various institutions. Prior to this she was Director General of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) from 2004 to 2011.  Besides her leading function in REEEP she was a member of the Board of the Gold Standard Foundation; a member of the Advisory Council of the European Technology Platform for the Electricity Networks of the Future (European Commission); and a member of the network of Global Agenda Councils of the World Economic Forum.

Dr. Moscoso-Osterkorn began her career in the banking sector as a project manager for organizational projects. From 1981-2004, she was employed by Verbund, the largest Austrian utility company and during her 23-year stay at this company held various management positions. For more than 10 years she was responsible for international lobbying and market development. Throughout this period she closely followed the liberalisation process of the European Energy Market and was strongly involved in the development of the European Renewable Market. From 2002-4 Dr. Moscoso-Osterkorn was the first President of the Board of RECS International, a European green certificate organisation. In 2003 she was named one of the “50 International Key Women in Energy”.

She is also the author of numerous publications and has held teaching assingments in several Universities and international foras.

Dr. Marianne Moscoso-Osterkorn obtained her PhD in Business Administration at the University of Economics in Vienna and received a Masters of Arts in Industrial Psychology from the University of Michigan.
