The three co-chairs are part of the organisation team and take active part in the whole process: from call for papers and abstracts selection to on-site organisation and sessions at the event itself.

Bios

Fiona Hall, Independent Advisor

Fiona Hall works as an advisor on EU energy efficiency policy. She was a  Member of the European Parliament for North East England, 2004-2014.

Erwin Cornelis, TRACTEBEL Engie

Erwin Cornelis is a leading expert on voluntary agreements, energy audits and energy data in companies, both large and SMEs and also a leading industrial energy policy expert. He also has a very good understanding on energy efficiency obligations and exchange of excess heat utilization with other sectors and how it compares to deep renovation of buildings.

He is now changing position from Senior Expert in Energy Policy at VITO; Belgium to Senior Consultant on Energy Efficiency Programmes at Tractebel-Engie, Belgium. This new position will not only allow him to deepen his knowledge on energy efficiency policies but also to operate in a more global perspective, whereas his current field of operation is mainly European. Apart from his technical expertise, he was until recently the vice-president of the Flemish Cogeneration Association. Erwin has joined many of eceee’s Summer Studies and served as panel leader in 2015.

Cédric Jeannert, SIG Switzerland

Cédric has been working as scientific advisor for communication and local energy agencies and has created several start-ups and NGO’s related to sustainable development and clean energies. His both social and technical backgrounds allow him to implement energy transition in a transversal way since 30 years.

He’s now employed by the Geneva energy utility (SIG) where he created and managed the demand side management program éco21 which is contributing to decrease Geneva region’s energy consumption, while economic activities and population are still growing.

He works today as senior expert, focused on forecast, design, implementation and evaluation of efficiency programs in several cities and Swiss utilities.

At national and international levels, he is also board member of various think tanks and professional associations as Swisscleantech, négaWatt, etc. …and also big fan of eceee’s and aceee’s summer studies!
