Abstract
In Finland the industrial sector accounts for about one half of tota primary energy consumption. Finnish industry is highly energy-intensive and energy occupies a central position among the various factors of production. Improvements in the efficiency of energy use in industry have been achieved over the past twenty years. However, in ƒ recent studies it has been shown that further improvements are possible.
